D2 Talks #1: Dušan Vukčevič of Vudumotion

Another week, another talk; this time with the one and only Dušan Vukčevič of Vudumotion. I met with Dušan in Vienna shortly before the D2 and I was so excited to have him as a speaker. A super easy going talented artist and very clever guy, I could not wait for him to share his story with the D2 family. Anyway, enough of me blahbling (blahbling? …I make up words) Enjoy this fantastic talk!

D2 Talks #0: Justin Bourn of Blank Canvas Studios

Beloved D2ers (if that is a thing lol) Quite a bit of time has passed since you have last heard from us. The reason is that we have been hard at work, restructuring a bit the way we do things and discussing future developments regarding this amazing event. 2017 has been a very good year for us, we have grown to be the biggest conference in the field of ArchViz and digital design and we have spent the last 3 months planning and envisioning how the future of this event will look like. We have also worked on a series of talks, among other things, that we will publish regularly on this blog, so make sure you bookmark this. 😉 We also plan to release a podcast version of these talks, so stay tuned for that as well. If you are interested in being featured in one of these videos, do get in touch, we will be happy to talk to you.

This week we had the chance to talk to Justin Bourn of Blank Canvas Studios in Perth Australia. Justin and I met in Vienna at the d2 Conference at the end of August, he built an ArchViz company that went from 0(ZERO) to 1.5 million in yearly revenue in just 3 years. He is a fun guy to talk to and his attitude is just spot on. Enough of chit chat: Enjoy this video! Continue reading →

The D2 Blog – Some words about Archviz and beyond.

“We really should have a blog.”

October 2014. Mark it down, because that is how long it took to actually get this thing off the ground. Not because we are lazy, or unsure of ourselves, or even because we over-analyze things. Mainly, it was because we were busy. Busy with work, busy with life, and busy doing our best to make the d2 Conference better. Not just better for us, but better for the 3d community. My favorite thing about the d2 is looking out across the courtyard during breaks and seeing all those faces. It gets me every time, and it is a huge motivation to keep making this thing better and better.

So why blog? Well, the d2 might be just once a year, but our minds are churning 24/7/365. We’ve got a lot of opinions and experiences that we would like to share, and this will be the best way to do it. So keep an eye out in the future as we plan to publish interviews, trip reports, and general discussions of the Archviz and CG industry.

Some are paler than others, but being a pale person is more of a state of mind than a description of your pastiness. Our friend Eric de Broche is the origin of our tagline – from his incredibly apt video that was presented at the first d2 Vienna in 2014.

Let’s do this!
